By submitting to the Journal of Orthopaedic Case Discussions (JOCD), the author(s) confirm that the work is original, that all permissions (including patient consent for identifiable information) have been obtained, and that the work does not infringe any third-party rights.
Licence to publish
Upon acceptance, the author(s) grant JOCD an exclusive, worldwide licence to publish the article and all associated materials (figures, tables, supplementary files) and to edit, reproduce, distribute, translate, and create derivative works in any media or format.
Open-access licence for readers
The final published version will be released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. This permits any user to copy, share, adapt, build upon, and use the work commercially, provided appropriate credit is given, a link to the licence is supplied, and changes are indicated.
Author rights
- Copyrights are transfered to JOCD
- Authors may post any version (preprint, accepted manuscript, or final) in repositories or personal/institutional sites with a citation to the JOCD version and the CC BY 4.0 notice.
Third-party material
Authors must ensure any third-party content is either their own, in the public domain, covered by a compatible open licence, or used with written permission and proper attribution.
